Bloomsburg Field Hockey Defeats C.W. Post, 5-1

BLOOMSBURG- Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntingdon Valley/Lower Moreland) scored three goals to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 5-1 win over the C.W. Post Pioneers on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal for the Huskies was scored by Venessa Witman (Oley/Oley Valley) at 24:51. Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) added another goal at the 31 minute mark, but the Pioneers answered back 35 seconds later to end the half at 2-1.

Vanartsdalen opened the second half with her first of three goals at 40:29 with an assist from Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl). Vanartsdalen would go on to score two more goals to seal the win for the Huskies.

The Huskies now 19-1, 9-0 PSAC East will host the PSAC Semifinals on Friday at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The pairings will be announced Monday.
